BRM - Opening of the cause of Fr. Aloisio Boeing

2015-03-18 BRM AloAsioOn March 17th, the diocesan inquiry for the cause of beatification of Fr. Aloisio Boeing (1913-2006) was closed in Jaraguá do Sul in Southern Brazil. Four bishops, among them the Dehonian Archbishop of Florianópolis, Mons. Wilson Jönck, were present at the celebration. Jaraguá do Sul was the place where Fr. Aloisio had been Novice Master for 20 years. It was also the place where he lived the last twenty-three years of his life. Prior to that, he had been Novice Master in Brusque already for 4 years. Among the novices Fr. Aloisio directed nine subsequently became bishops.

Fr. Aloisio founded the Association of Christian Women of Faith which in reality live as a family of religious women.

A big crowd took part in this event. The diocesan inquiry for the cause of beatification had  opened in 2013. And during the last two years, it was followed with much interest by the regional media. Hundreds of benefits have been attributed to his intercession. At this point the cause of beatification is entrusted to the General Postulator, Mr. Paolo Vilotta who will hand it over to the Holy See.

After the solemn session, closing the inquiry with the required signatures, the mortal remains of Fr. Aloisio were placed in the same grave from which they had been exhumed some days before.
